Abstract

Language:

This paper discusses the design and functionality of a thermoelectric generator that aims to convert waste heat into electrical energy using the Seebeck effect. With a growing concern for energy efficiency and sustainability, the conversion of waste heat, often produced in industrial environments, presents a viable opportunity for power generation. The objective of the study is to propose a thermoelectric system that leverages byproduct heat for generating electricity, thereby eliminating operational costs associated with traditional power generation methods. The methodology involves employing a thermopile composed of Bismuth Telluride (Bi2Te3) to harness waste heat effectively. Performance assessment is carried out through the integration of digital measuring circuits including thermometers, voltmeters, and ammeters, allowing for the establishment of correlations between heat input and power output. Through this experimental setup, the efficiency of the proposed thermoelectric generator can be thoroughly evaluated. The results indicate that the system offers significant potential due to its zero running cost, reliant purely on waste heat as an input source, making it an attractive solution in the realm of renewable energy technologies.
