This review examines the molten salt technology, focusing on its potential to enhance energy-efficient heat management in a decarbonized chemical industry. With the pressing need for sustainable energy solutions, the study aims to assess how molten salt can play a crucial role in achieving low-carbon processes. Employing a comprehensive literature review and analysis of existing methodologies, the authors highlight the operational advantages of molten salts, including their thermal stability and energy storage capabilities. The findings reveal that integrating molten salt technology can significantly improve energy efficiency and facilitate the transition toward decarbonization in the chemical sector.
