Abstract

Language:

This document serves as a study support for the field of Metallurgy and Material Engineering at the VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. The objective is to provide an in-depth understanding of the metallurgy of pure metals, including their significant properties and the methods used for their production and refining. The methodology includes a systematic exploration of various preparation methods and purification techniques, detailing the classification of pure substances, the effects of impurities on properties, and significant separation processes such as sorption and extraction. The results highlight various techniques, such as chromatography, ion exchange, and advanced spectrometric methods that are crucial for achieving high purity in metals. The study underscores the importance of these methodologies for practitioners and students in metallurgy, providing a comprehensive resource for enhanced learning and application in the field.
