La présente étude porte sur la valorisation des rejets des Usines à Cuivre de Kolwezi par séparation magnétique comme prétraitement avant la lixiviation. L'objectif principal était d'évaluer l'intérêt de la séparation magnétique pour mieux répartir les métaux contenus dans les rejets, en particulier le cuivre et le zinc, afin d'améliorer leur valorisation tout en réduisant les coûts de traitement. Les rejets ont été soumis à une analyse granulométrique, suivie de leur traitement par séparation magnétique pour obtenir des fractions magnétique et non magnétique. Les résultats montrent que la séparation magnétique influence la répartition des métaux selon la granulométrie, avec un taux de récupération de 52,70% de cuivre dans la partie magnétique. La lixiviation a été effectuée avec un rendement de dissolution de 78% pour la fraction non magnétique, mettant en évidence que cette méthode permet une valorisation efficace des rejets. Ainsi, le travail démontre le potentiel de la séparation magnétique suivie de la lixiviation pour valoriser les rejets des Usines à Cuivre de Kolwezi.
