Abstract

Language:

This study examines the impact of climate change on water resources and outlines strategies for effective adaptation in water management practices. The objective is to identify and analyze various adaptation strategies that can be implemented to ensure sustainable water management in the face of climate-related challenges. The methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature, case studies, and expert interviews to gather insights on adaptation measures currently in use across different regions. Results indicate that while several strategies have proven effective, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Key findings suggest that integrated water resource management (IWRM), stakeholder engagement, and the incorporation of traditional knowledge significantly enhance adaptive capacity. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of policy frameworks that support flexible and context-specific approaches to water management. The findings provide valuable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners aiming to implement adaptive strategies that address the complexities posed by climate change, ultimately leading to more resilient water management systems. This work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on climate change adaptation in water management and underscores the urgent need for proactive measures to safeguard water resources in the coming decades.
