Abstract

Language:

In this study, at the Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide (YBCO) bulk material, which is one of the high temperature ceramic superconductors, 0.005 and 0.1 Lithium (Li) was added to instead of Barium (Ba). In order to observe the change in the doped materials, the properties of the doped YBCO samples were compared with those of the undoped YBCO sample, and the resulting electrical and structural changes were discussed. The materials used for production were all supplied in nitrate form. The temperature-dependent resistivity (ρ -T), current density versus voltage (J-V), X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of the produced materials were obtained. According to the results, it was observed that increasing the Li doping led to a decrease in the critical transition temperature. Similarly, an increase in the doping amount was associated with a decrease in the critical current density. The XRD results showed that the characteristic peaks (013) and (103) shifted to the left, and SEM images revealed a reduction in particle size and an increase in the spaces between them. As a result, it was concluded that Li doping impaired the superconducting properties.
