Abstract

Language:

This study presents a comprehensive method for evaluating kinetic parameters of solid state reactions, addressing the limitations of existing methods. The objective is to provide a rigorous approach that incorporates the impact of heating programs on the activation energy, thereby enhancing the reliability of extracted kinetic parameters. A theoretical review of the isoconversional principle of model free methods highlights their shortcomings when not accounting for heating program dependencies. The study proposes an incremental version of the invariant kinetic parameters (IKP) method, which is integrated with the model free method to develop a comprehensive approach. This novel methodology is validated through simulation and experimental data, demonstrating its effectiveness in providing accurate values of kinetic parameters. The results indicate that this comprehensive method not only yields reliable activation energies but also helps clarify inconsistencies observed in previous kinetic analyses of solid state reactions. Thus, it provides a significant advancement in the field of reaction kinetics, especially in the context of solid state processes.
