Abstract

Language:

The leaching kinetics of zinc sulphide concentrate was studied under total pressures ranging from 0.3 MPa to 0.5 MPa and leaching temperatures ranging from 358 K to 378 K. The apparent activation energy of the leaching reaction under different total pressures was calculated. The results show that for the extraction of zinc, low-temperature pressure leaching is controlled by an interfacial chemical reaction. This was supported by the mineralogical analysis of the leaching residue. The kinetic equation for low-temperature pressure leaching of zinc sulphide concentrate was further established by quadratic regression based on the shrinking core model.
