Abstract

Language:

Surface treatment is an important technique to increase adhesion between implants and bones, which improves their mechanical characteristics and consequently enhances patient outcomes. This study aims to evaluate and compare the properties of TiN thin films produced through plasma deposition techniques on NiCr alloys specifically for dental applications. Utilizing a range of experimental methodologies, the properties of the films were systematically analyzed, focusing on surface features and mechanical characteristics. The results indicated significant improvements in surface hardness and adhesion, suggesting that the TiN thin films can effectively increase the longevity and performance of dental implants. Furthermore, the comparative analysis highlighted the optimal deposition parameters for achieving desired properties in the films. The findings underscore the potential of plasma-deposited TiN films in dental applications, paving the way for advancements in biomaterial technology. This study not only contributes to the fields of materials science and dental biomaterials but also provides implications for future research in surface treatments and coating technologies.
