This report investigates the impact of various additives on the leaching process of chalcopyrite, a significant copper-bearing mineral. The objective of the study is to determine how these additives influence the efficiency of the leaching process, which is crucial for improving copper extraction in mining operations. Employing an experimental approach, the researchers utilized constant-potential electrochemical cells to evaluate copper responses at different potentials. The methodology involved carrying out a series of controlled laboratory tests measuring the leachate compositions and the copper recovery rates under varied conditions influenced by the introduced additives.
