The copper precipitation in dilute ferritic alloys (EçCu et EçCuMn) has been studied under electron irradiation in the 170-370°C temperature range. The matrix depletion at low fluence has been followed by in situ electrical resistivity measurements, while the mean radius and number density of precipitates have been measured at higher fluence by Small Angle Neutron Scattering. Findings indicate that copper precipitation is not affected by manganese at 300°C but is strongly inhibited at 215°C. It is demonstrated that a simple radiation enhanced precipitation model can adequately reproduce the initial stage of precipitation; however, it fails to capture the behavior during the pure coarsening regime.
