Abstract

Language:

In security-related systems, such as access control systems, authentication is extremely important. This study aims to enhance door security by replacing traditional keys with a voice and fingerprint-based access control system. The methodology involves the design and development of a prototype that utilizes a voice sensor and fingerprint sensor to allow authorized users access through an electromagnetic lock. The findings indicate that the system effectively recognizes and processes user input to grant access, securing the area against unauthorized entry. Specifically, the system scans the user's voice or fingerprint and activates the lock, which remains open for a preset five seconds post-authorization. This innovation demonstrates the practicality and high security of biometric methods, as they cannot be lost, stolen, or forgotten, thus vastly improving traditional security systems. Overall, this research establishes the reliability and effectiveness of deploying biometrics for enhanced access control in secured environments.
