This paper explores the critical relationship between female literacy and maternal and infant mortality rates, emphasizing the significant impact of women's education on socio-economic development. The objective is to establish an inverse relationship between female literacy and mortality rates (Infant Mortality Rate - IMR and Maternal Mortality Rate - MMR). The methodology involves a literature review and analysis of existing data regarding literacy rates and health outcomes. Results indicate that increased female literacy correlates with improved outcomes in health and nutrition, leading to lower mortality rates among mothers and infants. Educated women are more likely to seek health care, make informed decisions regarding nutrition, and foster educational aspirations for their children, thereby perpetuating a cycle of education and health benefits. The findings highlight the importance of promoting female education as a pivotal strategy to enhance maternal and child health outcomes, suggesting that investments in women's education can yield significant public health benefits. This underscores the multifaceted value of education, which not only empowers women but also strengthens families and communities, ultimately contributing to national development.
