This study focuses on the beneficiation of mixed ores from the Mashi mine of MMG company through flotation. As the company MMG Kinsevere has depleted all its reserves of oxidized ores, it has embarked on the search for new alternatives, notably froth flotation, for processing ores from the transition zone and sulfide ores, as the current hydrometallurgical plant is only designed for oxidized ores. To achieve this, a sample averaging 2.60% copper and 0.19% cobalt from the mine was characterized and subjected to simple flotation testing by varying the dosage of the collector (KAX), the dispersant agent, sodium silicate (Na2SiO3), and the conditioning time of the sodium silicate. The results demonstrated that the best metallurgical performance was obtained by conditioning for 6 minutes, using a collector dosage of 500 g/t and sodium silicate dosage of 250 g/t. This work led to the production of a rough concentrate with 15.28% copper and 1.16% cobalt, achieving respective recovery rates of 85.18% and 93.07%.
