The key issue for manufacturing industries is the high surface quality of metal products. The main objective of the present work is to investigate the effect of cold rolling on brass and to understand the relationship between surface roughness and cold reduction in cross-sectional area samples. This study concentrates on the corrosion behavior of cold-working brass. The results show that the degree of deformation increases the surface roughness of the brass alloy. Additionally, weight loss increases with the duration of immersion and the degree of deformation. These findings suggest that optimizing cold rolling parameters can enhance the material properties of brass, particularly in terms of resistance to corrosion and surface integrity.
