Abstract

Language:

Over recent years, numerous studies have explored the impact of various factors on the environmentally conscious behavior of consumers; however, the interest in demographic factors specifically appears to be waning. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between demographic factors and environmentally conscious purchasing behavior through a comprehensive meta-analysis utilizing CMA software. The methodology involves the selection of studies that specifically addressed the influence of demographic factors on purchase behavior and employed the Pearson correlation coefficient. By aggregating the samples and conducting a hypothesis test, the analysis reveals some evidence supporting the correlation between demographic factors and environmentally conscious purchasing habits. Nevertheless, the findings also emphasize the need for more detailed research in this area, indicating that while connections may exist, further exploration is essential to understand the complexities involved. A multidisciplinary approach could enhance the understanding of how demographic factors drive environmentally conscious purchasing amidst contemporary consumer behavior discussions.
