The composition of soil is highly variable, depending on local rock sources and conditions in blasting and transportation. This study aims to compare the performances of various sources of fine aggregates used in construction in Bauchi Metropolis by assessing their performances and determining their suitability for construction. Samples were collected from Ningi, Bayara, Galambi, and Zaki, and an experimental survey was conducted to evaluate the aggregates. Physical tests, including moisture content, sieve analysis, specific gravity, and bulk density, were performed on each sample. Additionally, nine hollow sand crete cubes were produced from each sample for curing periods of 3, 7, and 28 days to compare the physical properties of the sand crete cubes. Properties tested included water absorption, compressive strength, and shrinkage. The results indicated that the sand samples collected from various sources were suitable for construction.
