Abstract

Language:

Climate change has been identified as a critical factor influencing agricultural practices and crop production globally. This study aims to evaluate the impact of climate change on agricultural land use and crop yields in different regions. A comprehensive analysis was conducted using a combination of satellite imagery and agricultural yield data from government databases, covering a period from 2000 to 2020. The results indicate that regions experiencing significant temperature increases also reported notable declines in crop yields, particularly for staple crops such as wheat and maize. Furthermore, shifts in land use patterns were observed, with an increase in farmland being converted to non-agricultural uses, thereby exacerbating food security challenges. Our findings highlight the urgent need for adaptive strategies to mitigate the impact of climate change on agriculture, including the adoption of resilient crop varieties and sustainable land management practices. As governments and policymakers navigate the complexities of climate adaptation, understanding these dynamics is essential for ensuring a stable food supply in the face of environmental changes.
