Telson Mining Corporation announced the results of historic Leachox Process testing conducted by Maelgwyn Mineral Services on Campo Morado tailings material in 2013. The objective of the testing was to determine the potential increases in gold and silver recoveries. Methodology involved assessing samples from both tailings and the Reforma deposit, focusing on different grind specifications and passes of Aachen oxidation. Findings highlighted a maximum gold dissolution of 65% and a silver dissolution of 75% from the tailings at a grind size of 20 microns after 10 passes. In the Reforma Zone, 45% gold and 81% silver recoveries were achieved at a grind size of 40 microns after 40 passes. The testing indicates that significant increases in precious metal recoveries could be attained using the Maelgwyn Leachox Process. Furthermore, the report emphasizes the necessity for optimization work to achieve even higher recoveries. The CEO of Telson, Antonio Berlanga, expressed optimism about the potential for improved recoveries, highlighting that ongoing testing could facilitate a commercial installation of this technology.
