We study the effect of asymmetric rolling (AR) on the evolution of the microstructure and mechanical properties of a five-layer composite metal consisting of the layers of FeMn2Si steel and FeCr18Ni10 austenitic steel. The comparison of asymmetric and symmetric rolling is carried out for a stress ratio equal to 1.16. It is shown that asymmetric rolling promotes a more uniform distribution of strains over the layers and elevation of the mechanical characteristics of the entire package.
