Abstract

Language:

In the context of rapidly growing digital information, efficient extraction of metadata from academic documents has become crucial for enhanced accessibility and organization of scholarly resources. This study aims to develop a robust methodology for automatic metadata extraction, targeting various structured and unstructured formats prevalent in academic publishing. Utilizing machine learning techniques and natural language processing algorithms, we designed an extraction framework that identifies key elements such as titles, authors, publication years, and relevant tags within the documents. In our experiments, the framework was tested on a diverse dataset compiled from various academic sources, achieving an accuracy rate exceeding 90% in metadata identification. The results indicate significant improvements over traditional extraction methods, showcasing the efficacy of modern computational approaches in enhancing the metadata extraction process. This framework not only streamlines the identification of critical information but also supports researchers in efficiently organizing their literature for better knowledge management. The findings underscore the importance of integrating advanced technologies in handling academic resources, ultimately leading to improved scholarly communication and resource discovery.
