While the efficiency of renewable energy components like inverters and PV panels is at an all-time high, there are still research gaps for batteries. Lithium-ion batteries have a lot of potential, but there are still some problems that need fixing, such as thermal management. The goal of this article is to estimate the state of charge (SOC) of a lithium-ion battery at different temperatures. This study compares the Extended Kalam filter algorithm to coulomb counting at various temperatures. The analysis reveals that the graphene battery exhibits the highest SOC when operated at the optimal temperature, highlighting that the correlation between SOC and temperature is not linear. This comprehensive investigation provides insights into the performance of different SOC estimation algorithms and suggests that proper thermal management is essential for improving battery management systems, making them more effective in ensuring reliable battery operation.
