This report provides a comprehensive overview of Best Available Techniques (BAT) in copper production, highlighting the environmental considerations relevant to this industry. The primary objective is to outline effective methods and technologies geared towards minimizing the ecological impact of copper manufacturing processes. Employing a combination of literature reviews, case studies, and assessments of existing production technologies, this study examines current Best Available Techniques and their implications for reducing emissions and environmental hazards. The findings indicate that significant progress can be made in mitigating air and water pollutants through the adoption of advanced production techniques and stricter regulations. Furthermore, the report emphasizes the importance of international collaboration and adherence to environmental standards across Europe. The analysis reveals that both primary and secondary copper production can be optimized to improve environmental performance while maintaining production efficiency.
