Abstract

Language:

This thesis investigates the effect of varying collector chain lengths on performance metrics under different water quality conditions. The primary objective was to understand how changes in collector configurations impact zeta potential measurements and, consequently, the efficiency of chemical processes involved in mineral extraction. Methodologically, a series of experiments were conducted, adjusting collector lengths while varying the water quality parameters. The resulting data were analyzed to quantify the relationship between collector chain length and zeta potential values. Results revealed that longer collector chains tended to enhance the effectiveness of collectors in certain water quality conditions, leading to higher zeta potentials. Such findings have significant implications in optimizing collector performance in industrial applications, particularly in mineral processing. The study underscores the importance of tailoring collector specifications to the quality of water employed in processing environments to maximize operational efficiency and efficacy.
