In the current landscape of academic publishing, there is a marked transformation driven by technological advancements and changing research dissemination practices. This study aims to identify and analyze the recent trends in academic publishing by employing a mixed-methods approach that incorporates quantitative data from publishing metrics and qualitative insights from interviews with industry experts. Results indicate a significant shift towards open access models, demonstrating a preference for collaborative research and increased emphasis on digital platforms for dissemination. Additionally, findings reveal challenges associated with traditional publishing models, particularly concerning accessibility and the speed of publication. Moreover, the study highlights the necessity for researchers and institutions to adapt to these changes in order to remain relevant in an evolving academic context. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the intersection between technology and academic publishing, providing valuable insights for stakeholders in the academic community. The implications underscore the need for strategic adaptations to ensure effective communication and visibility of research outputs in a competitive academic environment.
