Abstract

Language:

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted global health and economies, leading to an urgent need for accurate forecasting models to predict case numbers. This study aims to develop a predictive model for the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in India using early data. The methodology involves collecting publicly available data on confirmed cases and employing statistical techniques to analyze the trends and patterns. The model utilizes various appropriate data-fitting strategies to forecast future case counts based on initial observations, ensuring a reliable prediction framework. Results indicate that the predictive model effectively captures the epidemiological trends of the COVID-19 epidemic in India, with forecasts aligning closely with actual case trajectories in subsequent weeks. The findings are significant for public health planning and response efforts, providing critical insights for healthcare policymakers and researchers. By refining prediction methodologies, the study contributes to the broader discussion on managing and mitigating the impacts of the pandemic. Overall, the research demonstrates the importance of timely data analysis in combating public health crises, emphasizing the role of predictive analytics in shaping effective response strategies.
