This paper examines the early age of electricity, defined as the period from 1800 to 1881, focusing on the evolution of electric technology and its impact on civilization. The objective is to provide a systematic analysis of this transitional era, which is often overlooked in historical studies. By adopting a historical narrative, the methodology involves tracing key developments starting with the invention of the electric battery in 1800 and culminating in the first international electrical exhibition in 1881. The findings suggest that the full potential of electric technologies was not realized until after 1881, marking the beginning of a new age of electricity. Furthermore, the study highlights the interdependency between users and technologies, proposing that this co-construction was crucial for the eventual widespread adoption of electric power. Ultimately, the research contributes to a better understanding of how electric communication networks and power grids evolved together, influencing modern society's infrastructure and communication systems.
