Michael Faraday
This paper presents the seventh series of experimental researches conducted by Michael Faraday in the field of electricity, focusing on the results gathered during a significant hail storm. The objective was to explore the behavior of electric fluid during adverse weather conditions and its effects on physical objects, such as a kite and various conductors used in experimentation. Methodologically, the research involved practical experiments where Faraday observed the continuous rattling noise of electric discharge through a kite-string and the violent shocks experienced by individuals present during the event. Results indicated that electric discharges were not only powerful but also capable of causing physical reactions in subjects, leading to memorable impacts. This series of experiments contributes to the broader understanding of electrical phenomena and their interaction with environmental factors. Faraday's findings were significant in illustrating the risks and the dynamics of electricity, thereby enhancing the scientific community's understanding of electrical principles during the 19th century.
