Abstract

Language:

This manual is intended for students specializing in Metallurgy at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM) and may also serve students from other specializations. The objective is to provide a comprehensive guide on the methodology for measuring various physical quantities and assessing experimental errors. The manual includes a survey of measurement techniques, along with nine laboratory exercises that cover topics typically included in the Physics I course, such as mechanics, fluid dynamics, electricity, electromagnetism, and optics. Through these practical exercises, the authors aim to enhance the students' understanding of the principles and applications of physics in a laboratory setting. The development of this manual included valuable insights and feedback from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivailo Gugov and other colleagues at the UCTM Physics department, ensuring a robust educational resource. Overall, this laboratory manual serves as a vital tool for facilitating hands-on learning in physics for technical university students.
