This study investigates the characteristics of the flow field and the stirring effects of six bottom-blowing arrangements on the molten bath in a 75-ton electrical arc furnace (EAF). The objective was to enhance the reaction rate, improve kinetic and thermodynamic conditions, and reduce non-metallic inclusions in the steelmaking process. The methodology involved experimental water tests to measure mixing times under different bottom-blowing arrangements. Results indicate that varying the arrangement of bottom-blowing gas significantly affects the mixing time and efficiency of stirring in the furnace. The findings suggest that optimized bottom-stirring techniques can lead to improved operational efficiency in EAF steelmaking. These results provide valuable insights for further research and practical applications in enhancing the performance of electric arc furnaces.
