This paper presents a 2D braiding design system for advanced textile structural composites based on dynamic models. The objective was to develop a software package that assists in the design of braided preform manufacturing. The methodology includes the adoption of fabric geometry model (FGM) to evaluate the mechanical properties of composites, along with graphical demonstrations of relationships among design parameters such as machine speeds, fiber volume fraction, and tightness factor. Results show that the software effectively incorporates dynamic models, providing a versatile tool for integrated design in manufacturing braided fabric preforms. Experimental evidence further demonstrates the success of the dynamic models in enhancing the design process for braided structures.
