This paper is concerned with the possibility of using plastic bottle waste as an ingredient to the Asphaltic Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC). This research explores the effect of adding plastic and cement as ingredients to the mixture of asphalt concrete on the characteristics of Marshall. Plastics that are added are in proportions of 2:4 and are 6% in weight. It was observed that the optimum bitumen content with the addition of 4% plastic leads to a 19% increase in Marshall stability compared to the AC-WC without plastic. The positive effect of plastic bottles on Marshall characteristics, along with their environmental advantages, makes this material a feasible additive.
