This project report addresses the programming of a PIC microcontroller aimed at improving power factor correction in electrical systems. The objective was to design a microcontroller-based solution that effectively manages and corrects power factors in various electrical applications. A combination of programming techniques and circuit design was utilized, focusing on the interaction between the microcontroller and the measurement of power factor values. The methodology involved developing a user interface for real-time monitoring and feedback while implementing algorithms to calculate and adjust power factors based on varying load conditions. The results demonstrated that the microcontroller could accurately measure power factor levels, providing necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency, thereby reducing energy losses. The study concludes that the developed system is both effective and practical for real-world applications in electrical engineering, suggesting avenues for future enhancements in the microcontroller's capabilities.
