This study investigates the effectiveness of CaF2-enhanced hydrochloric acid (HCl) leaching on manganese recovery from a manganese-bearing silicate ore. The objective was to optimize the leaching process and improve manganese extraction efficiency utilizing CaF2 as an additive. The methodology involved systematic experimental procedures to assess the impacts of various parameters on the leaching process, including concentration of hydrochloric acid, temperature, and reaction time. The results demonstrated that the addition of CaF2 significantly enhances the leaching efficiency of manganese from the silicate ore when compared to conventional HCl leaching methods. Key findings indicated that optimal conditions could increase manganese recovery rates, thereby providing a more effective approach for processing manganese ores. The study contributes valuable insights into metallurgical processes, particularly for industries focusing on the extraction of manganese from silicate sources, and suggests further research directions to optimize the leaching process for commercial applications.
