The research addresses the critical issue of protecting water resources from depletion and pollution, particularly regarding the toxic wastewater produced in galvanic industries. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the ferritization method for treating depleted nickel-plating electrolytes, which contain high concentrations of hazardous nickel compounds. A comprehensive methodology was employed, including a thorough analysis of existing wastewater treatment methods such as ion exchange, sorption, and electrochemical techniques, to highlight the effectiveness of the proposed ferritization approach. Experimental results demonstrate that this method not only effectively removes heavy metal ions but also facilitates the recovery of valuable metals from wastewater, thereby mitigating environmental impact and enhancing resource circulation in electroplating processes. The findings indicate a significant improvement in treatment efficiency compared to traditional methods. This research contributes to the development of local water treatment systems tailored for the electroplating industry, promoting sustainable practices and addressing the environmental challenges posed by toxic wastewater. The study ultimately underscores the potential of environmentally friendly technologies in managing industrial wastewater while safeguarding human health and preserving natural resources.
