Wire + arc additive manufacture (WAAM) is a novel technique for creating large-scale metallic components. This study aims to explore the application of cold metal transfer-based WAAM in producing maraging steel bulk material. Various process parameters were analyzed, and the impact of different building strategies—including oscillation, parallel, and weaving—on the bead shape was examined. The structural integrity of the produced WAAM material was characterized through assessments of surface finish, potential lack-of-fusion issues, and microstructure. Findings indicate that WAAM is a feasible method for generating maraging steel bulk material, with the weaving strategy being identified as the most effective approach for optimal results.
