This study aims to utilize waste tailings as construction material, addressing both environmental contamination risks and the reduction of natural sand usage in mortar production. The research explores the dual impact of using tailings, which, if disposed of improperly, can harm the environment, while promoting sustainable development goals. The methodology involves including 25% tailings in the fine aggregate mix for mortar, utilizing PCC cement from PT Baturaja, Lampung. The results indicate that this substitution yields optimal compressive strength of 36 MPa, demonstrating the potential of waste material as a viable resource in construction applications. Thus, this study not only contributes to reducing mineral waste but also advances eco-friendly practices in the construction industry.
