This report details the annual archaeological excavation conducted at the shipwreck Mortella III, located in St-Florent, Haute-Corse. The objective was to explore and document the findings from the excavation season in 2019, specifically from September 22 to October 22. The methodology included systematic excavation processes, artifact cataloging, and team organization, which engaged numerous specialists and local partnerships to facilitate an effective operation. The excavation revealed significant artifacts, including a variety of materials related to the ship's structure, like wood and anchors, which were thoroughly analyzed for their dimensions and morphological features. The data indicated a complex interaction between the ship's elements and its historical context, showcasing the ship's construction techniques and its archaeological significance. Additionally, the ceramic materials found provide insights into the chronological framework of the site. These findings contributed to a deeper understanding of maritime archaeology in the region and offered valuable information for future research efforts. The results underscored the importance of preserving underwater cultural heritage and emphasized the need for ongoing archaeological studies.
