The development of an e-assessment system for laboratory practical exams aimed at Civil Engineering Diploma students is presented. The conventional laboratory practical exam necessitates the presence of lecturers on-site, which can be restrictive. This new e-PraTeSiM approach offers broad access for lecturers unable to attend conventional exams at scheduled times. It enhances the assessment standards through a systematic mechanism and improves the digital record-keeping of students. The implementation includes live streaming of students during practical exams, followed by evaluation through questions presented via the system, with the recording of body gestures and voice levels to assess psychomotor and affective domains per Outcome Based Education (OBE) standards. This allows for an efficient and accurate overall assessment of students. Each student is assigned a QR code to display their individual results and performance, which is incorporated into their digital record for reference by lecturers and prospective employers. This system exemplifies the evolution of practical test assessment and aligns with UiTM's vision towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
