This study focuses on the significance of employee retention within the IT industry, particularly at Wipro Technologies. The objective is to examine the factors contributing to employee attrition and to propose effective retention strategies. The research employs a mixed-method approach combining both general studies and case analysis specific to Wipro, aiming to identify critical areas influencing employee turnover. Results indicate that job satisfaction and opportunities for career growth play pivotal roles in retention, while the absence of supportive practices can lead to increased attrition rates. Additionally, this study highlights the pressing need for organizations, especially in the knowledge-driven economy, to develop comprehensive human resource management strategies to retain their valuable human capital. The findings serve as a vital resource for both academic research and practical application in managing employee retention, which is crucial for sustaining organizational performance and competitiveness in the rapidly evolving IT sector.
