Quality control helps industries in improvement of its product quality and productivity. This paper aims to discuss the implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies in a CNC grinder manufacturing process at PMT Machines Ltd. in Halol, Gujarat, India. The methodology included recording varying measurements from trials conducted on samples of a Cam Roller Shoe. By adopting SPC techniques, the process capability of the grinder was evaluated, enabling the identification of variations that had previously exceeded tolerance limits set by the client, Delphi TVS in Chennai. The findings revealed that prior to SPC implementation, the process capability was inadequate, leading to unacceptable product quality. Through the application of SPC techniques, such as control charts, the process was effectively brought under control, resulting in significant improvements in capability and quality. The study illustrates the importance of SPC in enhancing manufacturing processes and ensuring product compliance with specified quality standards.
