The primary objective was to assess the chemical interactions and transformations occurring within the ground during leaching operations, which are crucial for understanding environmental impacts and remediation strategies. The methodology involved a combination of field analyses and laboratory experiments, focusing on mineral composition, lixiviant chemistry, and groundwater baseline characterization. The study revealed significant variations in the behavior of the lixiviant over time, including changes in pH and concentrations of key ions such as sodium, chloride, and calcium. Additionally, comparisons between field data and laboratory results indicated a need for further investigations to refine leaching techniques and improve predictive models.
