This study investigates the preparation of amorphous silica via a precipitation reaction from an aqueous solution of sodium metasilicate and hydrochloric acid within an emulsion medium. The objective is to optimize the dispersive and morphological properties of the produced silicas. A combination of modern research techniques including scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for analyzing particle surface morphology and dynamic light scattering (DLS) for examining particle structure and their agglomeration tendencies were employed. Findings indicate that the method of preparation significantly influences the final properties of the silica, which were closely related to the experimental conditions such as pH and surfactant type. The results highlight the effectiveness of the emulsion method in tailoring the properties of silica for various applications, emphasizing the importance of process parameters in achieving desired characteristics. These insights contribute to the broader understanding of silica production and its applications in materials science.
