This work discusses the essential components of a rigorous auditing process aimed at enhancing metallurgical plant performance. The objective is to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies that may adversely affect productivity and cost-effectiveness. The methodology includes defining program objectives, identifying existing problems, reviewing historical data, and designing a thorough sampling campaign. Data is collected through targeted sampling of unit operations and circuits, followed by rigorous analyses to draw meaningful conclusions. The findings from this comprehensive process allow for the identification of alternative solutions and lead to informed recommendations for improvements. Ultimately, this approach not only helps in optimizing operational performance but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the metallurgical industry.
