This study aims to determine the BGH (Bangunan Gedung Hijau) score for the development of the GIK UGM building and to review prior studies discussing green building evaluations. Using a descriptive approach, it examines the application of the green building theme and employs Publish or Perish with Google Scholar and Crossref to identify research trends over the last ten years. The literature search shows more than 1,000 studies on BGH and green building evaluation in that period, with an average of 19.50 citations per year and at least two papers produced per researcher annually, followed by thematic mapping using VOS Viewer. The BGH assessment of the GIK UGM construction indicates that the project meets BGH criteria in line with predefined indicators. The development complies with several Greenship criteria, especially in EEC (Energy Efficiency and Conservation), WC (Water Conservation), IHC (Indoor Health and Comfort), and BEM (Building Environmental Management), as evidenced by energy and water conservation, building quality management, and occupational safety management. However, the MRC (Material Resources and Cycle) aspect is not yet optimal, particularly in construction waste management and certified material selection. Overall, the BGH assessment with Greenship criteria shows that the development aligns with the applicable green building requirements.
