This study presents a new technique for the comprehensive recovery of complex refractory tantalum niobium tungsten ore, utilizing a combination of flotation and gravity separation methods. The methodology integrates stage grinding and stage separation to optimize the process, employing gravity separation for coarse particles and flotation for finer ones. A high-efficiency combinative collector, primarily composed of benzyl hydroxamic acid, has been employed to improve recovery rates significantly. Furthermore, the YT F-C shaking table is introduced for the gravitational separation of fine particles, which has been shown to enhance the recovery and concentrate grade of tantalum niobium and tungsten minerals. The commercial tests yielded a tantalum concentrate with an assay of Ta2O5 at 31.98% along with a recovery rate of 43.44% and a tungsten product assay of WO3 with a recovery rate of 76.02%. This developed technique proves to be an effective and reliable approach for the overall utilization of lean and fine complex refractory tantalum niobium tungsten ore resources.
