The demand for renewable energy from Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is increasing, but these projects face various operational risks and project management challenges that can trigger construction disputes. This study analyzes the effect of operational risk and project management effectiveness on minimizing construction disputes in PLTS projects, with project performance used as an intervening (mediating) variable. Data were collected through a survey of workers involved in several PLTS projects and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The findings show that operational risk has a significant impact on project performance, which in turn increases the potential for construction disputes. Project management effectiveness is shown to improve project performance and reduce the risk of disputes, with project performance acting as a mediator in this relationship. The study contributes to academic and practical understanding of how risk and project management interact with construction disputes, and the results are expected to guide project managers in improving efficiency and reducing conflicts in future solar power plant projects.
