This document reviews and compares various solar energy technologies, highlighting their importance in addressing global energy demands and the environmental aspects associated with energy production. The objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of existing solar technologies, including solar thermoelectricity (STE), dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC), concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) systems, photovoltaic solar panels (PV), and concentrated solar power (CSP). A detailed methodology was employed, encompassing a systematic analysis of technical requirements, efficiency, advantages, and limitations of each technology. Results indicate that while photovoltaic solar panels currently dominate the market due to efficiency and cost-effectiveness, concentrated solar power systems exhibit significant potential for development and integration into the existing energy grid. The discussion further emphasizes the expected growth of solar technologies and their role in the transition towards sustainable energy solutions. This comparative analysis aims to inform stakeholders about the best solar technology options available as global reliance on renewable energy sources increases.
