This report presents a predictive model for the hardness profile of a typical Standard Reference Material (SRM) Rockwell C scale test block, specifically SRM 2812. The objective is to provide a method for calculating certified hardness values across the surface based on a limited number of calibration points. The methodology involves creating a predictive model that accounts for variations in hardness due to block nonuniformity. Results indicate that utilizing this model significantly reduces measurement uncertainty, enhancing the reliability of hardness assessments in metallurgical testing. This approach assists users in determining accurate hardness values at untested locations, addressing the challenges posed by variations in material properties. Consequently, the use of the predictive model is expected to improve quality control and material characterization in various applications.
