Abstract

Language:

This study investigates the electro-magnetism of polyethylene glycol-20000 (peg-20000) doped with nano-cobalt ferrite oxide powder. The objective is to enhance the magnetic properties and conductivity of polymer films by utilizing magnetic nanoparticles. The methodology involves the preparation of three types of nano-magnetic particles, including nano-cobalt ferrite oxide powders, some doped with LaCl3·nH2O at varying ratios, employing a sol-gel approach. Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGIDTG) was conducted to explore the thermo-decomposition processes of the precursors, revealing that activation energies varied across different stages and samples. Furthermore, the particles, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), were found to exhibit unique magnetic characteristics, particularly in terms of saturation magnetization and coercive force. The study results indicate that incorporating these doped magnetic nanoparticles into peg-20000 significantly optimizes the compound's conductivity, elucidating the potential for improved magneto-conductivity properties in polymer materials. This research contributes to the advancement of functional polymer films with enhanced magnetic features.
